Shane Kelly’s ill-fated 1000m time trial at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics

Victorian Shane Kelly was the hottest of favourites to claim the gold medal in the men’s kilometre time trial at the Stone Mountain velodrome at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He entered the event as the world record holder and as the reigning world champion was the last rider off in the field of 20. Alas for Kelly things did not go according to plan.

Done initially last year as a necessary COVID measure but I wonder now if it will largely be the future of sports broadcasting in AUS.
SYDNEY 4-0 including wins against Brisbane at the Gabba & Richmond at the MCG ... if you predicted this you’re a genius #AFL
